Orbi Router Setup

The Orbi router is designed to give strong, dependable, and flawless WiFi coverage across your home or office. With its advanced mesh technology, it eliminates dead zones and ensures smooth connectivity for all your devices. Orbi router setup is simple and can be done using either the web interface or the Orbi mobile app.

• A working modem with an active internet connection.
• The Orbi router and power adapter.
• An Ethernet cable to connect the modem and router.
• A computer or smartphone to access the setup process.
• The standard login details.

Place The Device

Position your Orbi router near the modem for the initial setup. Place it in an open, central position to maximise coverage once configured.

Connect Router To Modem

Use the Ethernet cable to connect the router’s Internet port to your modem.

Power Up Router

Plug in the router and wait for the power LED to pulse white. This indicates readiness for setup.

Connect To Router’s Network

On your computer, find the default WiFi SSID printed on the router label and connect with the default password.

Access Web Interface

Open a browser and type orbilogin.com or 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Enter the default username and password to log in.

Configure Router

Follow on-screen steps to set SSID, password, and customise settings as needed.

Finalize Setup

Save changes, reboot if prompted, and reconnect your devices to the new Orbi WiFi network.

Place The Device

Place the router near the modem during setup. Later, move it to a central location for better coverage.

Connect Router To Modem

Connect your modem to the Orbi router with an Ethernet cable. Ensure secure connections.

Power Up Router

Switch on the router and wait until the LED indicates readiness.

Connect To Router’s Network

On your phone, go to WiFi settings and connect to the default Orbi SSID shown on the label.

Access Orbi App

Download the Orbi app from Google Play or App Store. Sign in with your Netgear account or create one.

Configure Router

The Orbi app will detect the router. Follow on-screen steps, set SSID & password, and adjust network preferences.

Finalize Setup

Once setup completes, the app will confirm your router is active and ready.
